PharmaDelivery Solutions Ltd was founded in 2003 by David Howlett, who after working for over 20 years in the Drug Delivery Device arena, saw the opportunity for a consultancy service that could add true value to clients in house programmes.
David is an Engineer by training, completing his apprenticeship as a Production Engineer in 1979. David joined Bespak in 1980 as a Development Engineer, with a focus on industrial and cosmetic projects, many of which resulted in successfully marketed delivery systems. In 1986 he transferred into the pharmaceutical group within Bespak, with a specific focus on pressurised Metered Dose Inhalers. In the subsequent period he has performed a number of functions, both technical and commercial within the Bespak group, associated with the field of drug delivery.
 David is a prolific innovator both technically and in the business environment, as is evidenced by the fact that David currently has over 28 patents, for novel drug delivery systems either granted or in prosecution and scores more disclosed concepts. David regularly lectures on educational courses on pharmaceutical aerosol technology and has published a number of papers and delivered presentations on diverse aspects of aerosol delivery systems. David has had key responsibility for stimulating innovation in drug delivery systems and creating and managing links with innovative groups to facilitate the development of novel and effective drug delivery platforms. In addition to this he has been a key member of both tactical and strategic business development activities.
